Applications for the 2026-27 School Year

BCPS has shared the following information about the magnet process for this Fall:
"BCPS Magnet Programs is pleased to announce the 2025-2026 dates for the Magnet EXPO!, application meetings, showcase events, and application deadline!  School principals are asked to share the Magnet application flyer with school staff and parents/guardians by posting a copy in back-to-school newsletters.

2026-2027 application cycle information, including translated versions of the magnet flyer, will be available from the Magnet Programs' Web site beginning Friday, August 1, 2025. In addition, flyers will be distributed to students in Prekindergarten (4-year-olds) and Grades 5 and 8 in early September.  
Access to the online magnet application will be available from the Magnet Programs’ Website on Monday, September 8, 2025, starting at 12 noon. 

The Magnet EXPO! will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the CCBC Catonsville Wellness and Athletic Center, 800 Rolling Rd., Catonsville, MD 21228, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Application Information Meetings for parents/guardians will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Kenwood High School (501 Stemmers Run Rd., Essex 21221) and Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Milford Mill Academy (3800 Washington Ave., Windsor Mill 21244).  Both meetings will be held in the school’s auditorium and will start at 6 p.m.

The magnet application deadline for the 2026-2027 school year is 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Please be reminded that it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to submit the application.  School staff should not submit an application on behalf of any parent/guardian.
