Community School

What is a community school?

A community school is a public school that acts as a hub for its surrounding community, providing integrated academic, health, and social services for students and families. These schools are characterized by partnerships between the school and community organizations and resources, working together, leveraging strengths and assets to address the unique needs of the local area.

Fall food distribution

September 17th: 127 students obtained free school supplies during all of our lunch shifts. 30 donated backpacks with essential supplies. If your student is still in need, encourage them to fill out the QR code Pantry Request seen hanging around the school.

We’d like to thank our amazing and ongoing volunteers from the Student Support Network, Lori and Betsy. Thanks also to our partners Senator Carl Jackson, Education Foundation of BCPS and the Student Support Network!
