Honor Societies

National English Honor Society

Advisors: Virginia Richard and Kari Lochary 

The NEHS organization accepted 16 students this year and will be planning events that promote literacy at Parkville High School and in the community.

Science National Honor Society

Advisors: Zach Chandler and John McAllister

Science National Honor Society is a motivated group of students who share monthly their interests and ideas in science. Students are encouraged to bring new and interesting topics to explore and model for the group. 

National Art Honor Society

Advisors: Ariana Mygatt and James Hesser

The National Art Honor Society (NAHS)is an honor society for visual art students that is sanctioned by the National Art Education Association (NAEA). NAHS supports student members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. The NAHS meets regularly on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. 

Social Studies Honor Society

Advisors:  Lisa Kalinski and Kathryn Robinson

The National Social Studies Honor Society is a society for students who excel in their Social Studies classes. We meet once a month to celebrate the success of our students and to help nurture their continuous growth in Social Studies. 

Spanish Honor Society

Advisors:  Kathleen Cohen and Robert Glass

In Spanish Honor Society, we focus on Hispanic service learning projects, improving our Spanish abilities and tutoring other students. We do this to produce of issues that affect the Latino community.

National  Honor Society for Dance Arts

Advisor: Meghan Bulls

Parkville High School is proud to announce that we have been accepted to be a part of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA). The Parkville chapter of NHSDA was formed in January 2019 and currently represents junior and senior members of the PHS Dance Company.
